Indian Institute Of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards. Established in 2008 by the Government of India, through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), based on the recommendation of Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, IISER-TVM is an autonomous institution awarding five year integrated MS degree in addition to Ph.D degrees in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and inter-disciplinary areas. The emphasis will be to develop a spirit of research cutting across disciplines from the beginning itself.

Private Secretary
Number of Vacancies : 01 Post (UR)
Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs 4600
Qualifications : Direct Recruitment: Bachelor’s Degree with proficiency in computerized administrative working, stenography and 10years’ experience in secretarial position in Govt/Academic/ Scientific R&D organization of which minimum 3 years in the grade pay of 4200/- or comparable pay scale.
Deputation: Holding analogous position in Grade Pay of 4600/- OR Personal Assistant/Secretarial position for 3 years in Grade Pay of 4200/- in Government organizations or Govt funded institutions of repute preferably in Academic or Scientific field
Age limit : For Direct recruitment: Below 45 years; For Deputation: Preferably below 50 years
Personal Assistant
Number of Vacancies : 02 Post (UR)
Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs.4200
Qualifications : Direct Recruitment: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Commercial Practices,Stenography and competence in Computer applications. Deputation:Holding analogous position in Grade Pay of 4200/- OR 3 years in Stenographer /Secretarial position in Grade Pay of 2800/- in Government organizations or Govt funded institutions of repute preferably in Academic or Scientific field
Age limit : For Direct recruitment: Below 45 years; For Deputation: Preferably below 50 years
Superintendent (Office/ Services/Hostel & Hospitality)

Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs.4200
Qualifications :
For 14A-Superintendent (Office/ Services)
Direct Recruitment: Bachelor’s degree. Deputation: Holding analogous position OR 5years’ experience of which 3 years should be in relevant area in the Grade Pay of Rs 2800/- or equivalent in Government organizations or Govt funded institutions of repute preferably in Academic or Scientific field
For 14B - Superintendent (Hostels& Hospitality)
Direct Recruitment: i) Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management; or Hotel Management & Catering Technology; or Hospitality & Hotel Administration; or Catering Science & Hotel Management OR PG Diploma in Hotel Management OR 3 Years Diploma in Catering after plus two.
Deputation: Holding analogous position in function and pay OR 8 years’ experienceof which 3 years should be in the relevant functions of Mess & Catering / Hostel & Guest House operations in the Grade Pay of Rs 2800/- in Government organizations or Govt funded institutions of repute.
Age limit : Direct recruitment: Below 43 years for 14A and 40 years for 14B; For Deputation: Preferably below 50 years
Office Assistant (Multi Skill)
Number of Vacancies : 09 Post (SC-1,OBC-2,UR-6)
Pay Scale : Rs 5200-20200 (PB-1) + Grade Pay Rs 2800
Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree or 3 year Diploma in Commercial Practice; and Competence in Basic Computer Application Skills
Age limit : 38 years; Relaxations in age limit: 5 years for SCs and 3 years for OBCs
Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical/HVAC)
Number of Vacancies : 03 Post (OBC-1,UR-2)
Pay Scale : Rs 9300-34800 (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs.4200
Qualifications : Diploma orB.Tech. / B.E. degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with First Class or equivalent grade.

Technical Assistant (Laboratory/Campus)
Number of Vacancies : 05 Post (OBC-2,UR-3)
Pay Scale : Rs 9300-34800 (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs.4200
Qualifications :
Technical Assistant(Laboratory): MSc in Biological/Chemical Sciences or B Tech /BE in Instrumentation or MSc/B Tech in Biotechnology with First Class or equivalent grade.
Technical Assistant(Campus): i. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture / Forestry / Agriculture with First Class or equivalent grade.
Age limit : 38 years; Relaxations in age limit:3 years for OBCs
