Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER)
The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER), and the related National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) are a group of premier institutes being created by the Government of India to promote education and research in the sciences. Five IISER’s have been currently planned across the country in the following locations — Kolkata in West Bengal, Pune in Maharashtra, Mohali in Punjab, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The financial outlay for each IISER is around Rs 500 crore for the first five years. The NISER is being set up in Bhubaneswar for a slightly higher outlay of 800 crores.
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali, established by the Government of India (MHRD) in 2007 to carry out research in frontier areas of science and to provide quality science education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, intends to fill up the following vacancies:
- Registrar : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000 +10000 Grade Pay
- Deputy Librarian : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100+8000 (AGP)
- Assistant Engineer (Electrical) : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 + 4600 Grade pay
- Office Assistant (Multi- skill) : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200+2800 Grade pay
How to Apply : Applications form in the prescribed format filled in and submitted along with a recent poassport size photogrpah and names of at least 3 referees (in case of Gr.A posts) to the Registrar, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali, MGSIPA Complex, Sector-26, Chandigarh-160019, by 30/08/2010 alongwith a bank draft of Rs.100/- for UR/OBC candidates only others in favour of Registrar, IISER, Mohali.
