Sashastra Seema Bal (Devanāgarī: सशस्त्र सीमा बल), simply known as SSB, is one of India’s paramilitary forces and is currently under the administrative control of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India. It was formerly known as the Special Service Bureau. The SSB came out to be successful which was evident by the success it achieved by training Mukti Bahini in Bangladesh  and other places, COIN Op’s in North East, and providing security at high peaks during 1971 and Kargil war.

Applications are invited from male Indian citizens fulfilling the eligibility criteria for recruitment to the following Para-Medical posts in SSB :

1. SI (Staff Nurse) (Female ) : 45 posts, Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800+GP Rs.4200/-
2. ASI ( Pharmacist) : 02 posts, Pay Scale :  PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800/-
3. ASI (Physiotherapist) : 03 posts, Pay Scale :  PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800/-
4. ASI (Operation Theatre Technician) : 03 posts, Pay Scale :  PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800/-
5. ASI (Dental Technician) : 03 posts, Pay Scale :  PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2800/-
6. Head Constable (Steward) : 03 posts, Pay Scale :  PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs.2400/-
7. Constable Tradesmen (Lab Assistant) : 36 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 +GP Rs.2000
8. Constable Tradesmen (Nursing Orderly) : 120 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 +GP Rs.2000
9. Constable Tradesmen (Ayah)  Female : 09 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 +GP Rs.2000
10. Constable Tradesmen (Masalchi) : 06 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 +GP Rs.2000
11. Constable Tradesmen (Table Boy) Male : 03 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 +GP Rs.2000

Application Fee : Application fee will be Rs. 50/-  for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories in favour of  the authorities as defined in the detailed advt. No fee will be charged from SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.

How to Apply :
Eligible and desirous candidates should send their applications in the prescribed proforma with attested passport size photographs duly affixed on the application form and admit card and duly completed in all respect on or before 20/07/2011.  (Last date is 27/07/2011 for the candidates from far-flung areas)
