Currently NCDIR is engaged in the preparation of the data base on cancer through the network of 27 population based, 7 hospital based cancer registries and 17 centres collaborating in the study on Patterns of Care and Survival Studies, set up under the Council’s extramurally funded National Cancer Registry Programme. 1.3 Similar data base on the other diseases are planned in the future.
