Zakir Husain College
Zakir Husain College (Hindi: ज़ाकिर हुसैन कॉलेज, Urdu: ذاکر حسین کالج), formerly known as the Delhi College (Hindi: देल्ही कॉलेज, Urdu: دہلی کالج) founded in 1792, is the existing oldest educational institution in Delhi, and part of the University of Delhi (DU), offering undergraduate and post graduate courses, in Arts, Commerce, Sciences. It has had a considerable influence on the modern education as well as the Urdu and Islamic learning in India, and today remains the only DU college offering BA (Hons) in Arabic and Persian.
